This position is located in the C5ISC, ISD, Alexandria, VA. The ISD oversees the installation and configuration of all C5I services for specific U.S. Coast Guard afloat, air, ashore, and deployable specialized forces platform types. The branch leverages C5ISC approved systems of record to effectively manage depot and operational support activities, to include problem and incident management, maintenance management, and supply chain management for C5I services. The branch also utilizes C5I Prime Units (prototypes) to evaluate upgraded components, new systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures. In addition the incumbent is responsible for facilitating, communicating, and coordinating the management of services across Product Lines and Shared Services Divisions to support service alignment to the Mission Support Business Model and Service Management, the full life-cycle management approach to Service Management, and to ensure delivery of services in accordance with approved service levels per signed Service Level Agreements. The effects of the work are properly installed and configured C5I services for specific afloat, air, ashore, and deployable specialized forces platform types. This ensures that C5ISC systems of record have effectively and appropriately managed depot and operational support activities for their entire life-cycle that aligns with the Mission Support Business Model and Service Management.

Developing and maintaining strategic plans.
Developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts.
Providing advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.
Resolving conflicts in laws, regulations, policies, standards or procedures.
Reviewing or conducting audits of information technology (IT) programs and projects.
Evaluating the effectiveness of procurement function in addressing information security requirements and supply chain risks through procurement activities and recommended improvements.
Ensuring that all acquisitions, procurements, and outsourcing efforts address information security requirements consistent with organizational goals.
Leading and overseeing budget, staffing and contracting.
Monitoring and auditing the schedule, cost, design analysis, operational performance and/or internal security procedures of national security systems (NSS) and classified information, critical infrastructure, mission essential systems (MES), high value assets (HVA) or other USCG information systems.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience may include the following:
Experience in Information Technology (IT) Project Management in areas of Configuration and Data Management.
Knowledgeable of and experienced in implementing Windows IT Infrastructure systems.
Experienced in implementing Windows IT Infrastructure systems in a hybrid/cloud environment addressing PPSM, firewall and other cybersecurity requirements. Be prepared to describe the environment and your level of involvement.
Experienced in reading naval architecture drawings and specifications. Be prepared to describe the environment and your level of involvement.
Previously supported as a technician for Windows IT Infrastructure systems. Be prepared to describe the environment and your level of involvement.
Experience in implementing DOD Security Reference Guides (SRGs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Be prepared to describe the environment and your level of involvement.
