In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in the proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Must be able to clean and make adjustments to powered cleaning equipment. Must be able to perform the full range of cleaning duties. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps. Must be physically able to frequently move and control heavy equipment, including pushing carts, weighing more than 100 pounds, loaded with dirty laundry or wastepaper. Must be physically able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
