Duties

Help
  • Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
  • Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold menu items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on a serving line or tables.
  • Removes dishes and trays from tables after meals. Washes tables and counters.
  • Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware.
  • Loads and operate dishwashers. Stores cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Must be willing and able to work irregular hours to include Federal holidays, weekends, and evenings.

  • A Federal Wage System (NA, NL, or NS position) employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5 percent for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work falls between the hours of 1500 and 2400.
  • A Federal Wage System (NA, NL, or NS position) employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10 percent of the scheduled rate if the majority of non-overtime work hours occur between 2300 and 0800.
  • Night shift differential will be paid for all regularly scheduled (including regularly scheduled flexible employees) work.
