Summary

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items. Follow recipes to prepare items such as soups, stews, casseroles, gravies, sauces, hot cereals, syrups, meatloaf, meatballs, hamburgers, and croquettes.
Grill, deep fry, broil, steam a variety of foods. Adjust recipes for larger or smaller quantities.

Pick up items needed for menu preparation, rotating food inventories as appropriate. Operate kitchen equipment designed to mix and cook food items.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Attend Team Member Orientation within 30 days of employment.
This is a flexible position that there are no guaranteed hours. Must be willing to serve in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis. Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15j(1) to include a medical examination.
Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend throughout the shift. Must also be able to lift objects up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift objects weighing over 40 pounds with assistance.
Pursuant to EO 14043, all Federal employees, regardless of duty location or work arrangement, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by November 22, 2021, or before entrance on duty if after November 22, subject to exceptions as required by law.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 6 months of work experience directly related to the duties described above, that includes skill in working with professional kitchen appliances and equipment.
2. Be able to communicate (verbal and written) in English.

1. More than 6 months experience related directly to the duties listed above.
