Duties

Help
  • You will diagnose and resolve problems with personnel, data input, course assignments, and user errors.
  • You will continually seek ways to improve and enhance learning.
  • You will instruct by means of classroom lectures, demonstrations and practical experiences as well as web conferencing.
  • You will give demonstrations as to methods, techniques and special setups.
  • You will create reports and manipulate data in response to customer requirements using advanced functions in data base programs such as Excel or Access.
  • You will solicit feedback from students, peers and management to evaluate courses and effectiveness.
  • You will report, respond and resolve customer requests pertaining to Learning Management System (LMS).
  • You will assist in in-service training programs.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT: Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Degree: that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the position to be filled in one or a combination of the areas described below. At least one course must have been from (1) or (2) below:
1.Tests and measurement: Study of the selection, evaluation, administration, scoring, interpretation, and uses of group and individual aptitude, proficiency, interest, and other tests.
2.Adult education: Study of the adult as a learner, teaching-learning theories for adults, models and procedures for planning, designing, managing, and evaluating adult learning activities.
3.Educational program administration: Study of the foundation and methods in organizing for adult and continuing education programs.
4.Curriculum development or design: Study of the principles and techniques for development of curricula for adult or vocational education programs.
5.Teaching methods: Study of teaching strategies and learning styles of the adult learner.
6.Guidance and counseling: Study of the purposes and methods in counseling and guidance, the role of the counselor in various settings, approaches to counseling, and the uses of tests in the counseling situation.
7.Career planning: Study of career development, learning activities, systems, approaches, program coordination, use of educational and community resources, and vocational counseling systems.
8.Occupational information: Study of theories of occupational choice and vocational development and their application to the guidance process. Identification and utilization of various types of occupational information and resources.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • .Leading course development projects in concert with Visual Information Specialist and subject matter experts.
  • Utilizing a variety of visual training aids to illustrate and demonstrate coursework.
  • Creating presentations for leadership illustrating current training compliance/status must clearly and succinctly provide relevant information in an easy and understandable formats.
  • Analyzing and summarizing internal and external customer service satisfactions surveys, reports and survey results.
  • Adhering to lesson topic guides, student guides, audio-visual aides, reading assignments and tests are reviewed appropriateness and compliance with local and higher authority parameters.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: In addition to the Basic Requirements, Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements
