Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the Supply Systems Analyst performing analytical project assignments in the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the overall Supply Management System (SMS).
  • You will provide technical direction for the SMS Automated Data Processing (ADP) projects required to automate supply operations.
  • You will review system and software changes/upgrades provided by the Central Design Agency.
  • You will research program problems and enhancements, and then document and submit Program Trouble Reports and/or Program Change Requests to local ADP activities and/or submit heat tickets to Navy ERP.
  • You will perform system/program analysis with Web accessible and client server microcomputer hardware online system tools and data processing guides, research and identify problem causes and resolution, and take actions to correct.
  • You will schedule, conduct and/or attend ADP/supply-related meetings with various levels of personnel, and provide technical advice in other meetings regarding supply policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • An IT Level II Designation is required.

Qualifications

GS-11

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience performing analytical project assignments in the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the overall Supply Management Systems (SMS). Experience maintaining supply systems and software changes and/or upgrades. Experience developing and implementing test plans, analyzing test results, preparing user procedural documentation, training users, and closely monitoring programs to ensure the correct operation of supply systems and software. Experience maintaining supply system program problems and enhancements, and documenting and submitting Program Trouble Reports and/or Program Change Requests to local ADP activities and/or submitting heat tickets to resolve supply system issues. Experience performing system/program analysis with Web accessible and client server microcomputer hardware, online system tools, and data processing guides for supply systems.

GS-09

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience performing analytical project assignments in the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the overall Supply Management Systems (SMS). Experience identifying supply system and software problems, causes, and resolutions, and taking corrective actions. Experience submitting Program Trouble Reports and/or Program Change Requests to local ADP activities and/or submitting heat tickets to resolve supply system issues.
