Duties

Help
  • Plans, manages, directs, coordinates and supervises the functions, programs and activities of the division and performs delegated personnel management responsibilities.
  • Functions, programs and activities include but not limited to Sports and Fitness, Arts and Crafts, Automotive Skills, Outdoor Recreation, Beach Operations, Swimming Pool, Library and Non Facility Based Planning.
  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates community wide revenue generating programs.
  • Determines overall local policies for providing business and recreation services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Satisfactory completion of a physical which demonstrates sound mental and physical health as well as freedom from communicable diseases.

Qualifications


1. Progressively responsible experience performing related duties, which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of this position.
2. Experience in a supervisory capacity is mandatory.
3. Knowledge of the goals, concepts and techniques of a community activities program, including recreation, sports, entertainment and art, and of general management and business operations of various facilities is required.
4. Five years experience in formulating and executing APF and NAF budgets is desirable.

Highly Preferred Candidates will have at least 1 year of business program or recreational management experience.
