Summary

About the Position: This position is located in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) under the policy guidance and direction of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD (HA)). The DHA ACQ Demo workforce is responsible for management and performance of Military Health Systems (MHS) Acquisition Programs within the DHA, Federal Health Electronic Records Modernization (FEHRM) office, Program Executive Office or Program Management Offices.

Duties

Help
  • This position performs a project management role during the various phases of the acquisition life cycle within Defense Health Agency, Program Executive Office or Program Management Office.
  • Plans, analyzes, and reviews major programs associated with the acquisition of capabilities involving information technology and services within the Military Health System (MHS).
  • Develops comprehensive plans involving both short and long-range requirements for Project Management execution.
  • Coordinates initiatives to streamline management operations and procedures, as well as provide consideration for consolidating services and processes to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Career Field in Program Management, Level III is required. Selectee must achieve certification within 36 months of appointment.
  • Travel 25-50% of the time.

Basic Requirement for Management Analyst NH-0343-04

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; exercising administrative oversight the program for planning, developing, or monitoring within the Military Health System (MHS); AND assisting to establish project budget estimates; AND assisting to develop comprehensive plans involving both short and long-range requirements for Project Management execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03)
