The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for Innovation position is located in the Office of Innovation, Office of Inspector General (OIG), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Office of Innovation is responsible for leading, communicating and implementing change efforts across OIG. The DIG for Innovation advises and recommends to the Inspector General (IG) and Principle Deputy Inspector General (PDIG) innovative practices across OIG's enterprise, including mission support, policies and procedures, and in the audit, inspections, evaluations, and investigations portfolios.
In this position you will perform the following:
Champion change management and monitor evolving trends, good government best practices, and technological advances to improve OIG, including legislation and policies that may impact the future strategic direction of OIG's workplace environment, audit and evaluation products, and investigations.

Qualifications
As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent in the private sector.
