Duties

Help
  • Serves as a Recreation Assistant (Service Writer) in support a recreational activity (automotive center) applying a practical knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance facility.
  • Assist in the planning/establishing of objectives and goals for the facility. Instruct customers in the proper use of automotive equipment and programs within area of responsibility to facilitate organization skills.
  • Must have an understanding of the automotive systems to accurately order the part, price the order, and provide the correct information to the customer. Maintain a working relationship with the service technician.
  • Collects applicable fees for items requested, accounts for monies, safeguards funds and makes daily deposits. May operate the customer?s vehicle to move in and out of the service area. keep abreast of vehicle.
  • Must have an understanding of the automotive systems to accurately order the part, price the order, and provide the correct information to the customer. Issues/receives request for automotive repair.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Required/maintain a valid state driver?s license.

Qualifications

No prior training or work experience required.
Applicant must be able to understand and follow written instructions.
Have ability to handle tools and equipment used.
Be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Be able to actively bend, stoop, reach and work in awkward positions.
