Duties

Help

As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST - TITLE 32, GS-0343-9, you will analyze maintenance capabilities, production effectiveness, equipment reliability, areas of deficiency, and trends of small maintenance shops. Projects involve surveys, comparisons, and studies of current and past operations. Make recommendations for improving maintenance methods and procedures. Review, extract, analyze, and collate maintenance data and prepare maintenance summaries from reports submitted by subordinate maintenance activities. Interpret data collected and relate it to maintenance plans, standards, and actions. Identify and analyze deficiencies in resource consumption, training, workload, and scheduling. Develop charts, graphs, tables, and visual media to present trends, performance status, capabilities, and related management information. Identify ways to streamline, combine, or improve areas of record documentation and procedures. Identify and validate manning required to support the organizational mission. Evaluate changes in the operational plan for the program that will affect the maintenance capability forecast. Serve as a management information systems manager for the branch. Develop, collect, and maintain various data used to evaluate and improve the maintenance effort. Perform other duties as assigned.

Military Grades: E-6 (SSG) and O-3 (CPT)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
Wear of the military uniform.
Position may require a pre-employment physical.
May be subject to furlough actions.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
This position is located on a tobacco free facility.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 24 months experience which has provided a working knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience analyzing, interpreting and developing policies and procedures of local management.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
