Duties

Help

This position is located at Arizona Training Center (AZTC) in Bellemont, AZ. The purpose of the position is to oversee and ensure the accomplishment of work performed in the areas of personnel management and administration. The incumbent works under the direction of the Officer in Charge (OIC) or Personnel Officer.

  • NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

Qualifications

Military Grades: SPC/CPL/E4 - SFC/E7

Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess 42A.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience performing personnel transactions. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.

2. Knowledge to implement the enlisted promotion system at the command level.

3. Ability to plan and coordinate RAPIDS actions.

4. Knowledge to prepare and forward required documentation or officer promotion packets for required state and federal board actions.

5. Knowledge to provide advice and assistance to the commander and staff pertaining to military personnel administration.
