As an Administrative Assistant with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, you will be responsible for supporting the Office Director and three Deputy Office Directors in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR). Based on the number of executives on NRR's Executive Team (ET) and the size of the Office, you will serve as one of two assistants providing administrative support to the ET, as well as guidance and leadership to the other administrative assistants in the Office, through the efficient and effective coordination and implementation of agency-wide administrative functions. You will produce letters, memoranda, reports and other documents and perform a variety of office automation functions.  You will compose correspondence of a routine nature. You will maintain the ET's calendars by making appointments, and advising supervisor of appointments, meetings, etc.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.  

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: To qualify for the GG-09 grade level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GG-08).  Specialized experience for this grade is the use of office automation systems to produce documents and perform a variety of office automation functions such as time and attendance reporting, action item tracking, travel document preparation and retrieval, and calendar maintenance. 

To qualify for the GG-10 grade level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GG-09).  Specialized experience for this grade is providing guidance of office automation systems to produce documents and perform a variety of office automation functions such as time and attendance reporting, action item tracking, travel document preparation and retrieval, and calendar maintenance.  Additionally, provides leadership and guidance to the division administrative assistants in coordinating office-wide activities and initiatives, along with implementing new and existing agency-wide processes.
