You will assist journeyman Electricians in the Electrical Branch by performing the less skilled duties of the trade.
You will perform work that consists of installation, repair, alterations, manufacture, fabrication, and maintenance of various electrical systems, circuits, equipment and components aboard naval ships
You will perform duties that consist of pulling, and strapping cable, packing tubes, skinning and cutting in and hook-up of cable, mounting fixtures and cable pans, housekeeping cleaning components, procuring tools and material.
You will work in shops, buildings, and on piers with nuclear and non-nuclear equipment, systems, and projects as assigned.
You will perform preventive maintenance on insulation, testing equipment, commutator dressing, brush seating, checking and cleaning motors, starters, relays, etc.
You will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot industrial plant equipment, plant appliances, nuclear refueling enclosures, and refueling components.
You will read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, work instructions, and sources of job related information.
You will prepare reports relative to maintenance records, Condition Reports, shipping and material ordering reports.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
