Summary

Setting up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold menu items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on a serving line or tables.
Preparing food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables. Operating, break down, and cleaning all equipment assigned to the area for food preparation.
Separating food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware. Loads and operate dishwashers.
Removing dishes and trays from tables after meals. Washing tables and counters.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
A one year probationary period may be required
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
Medical examination is required
Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays.
The dual compensation guidelines DO NOT apply to this position. All GS and NAF employees whether fulltime or part time are eligible to apply for this position.

Qualifications
Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn.
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: knowledge, skills, abilities, additional screening criteria and other characteristics.
Must have knowledge of basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Must have the ability to perform routine manual tasks involving few steps, and be able to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
