As an Integrative Activities Specialist, within the Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (OAC), Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE), you primarily gather information, identify, and analyze issues and develop recommendations to resolve substantive problems of effectiveness and efficiency of program operations. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent.

To qualify at GS-11, you need to have one of the following: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9 level in the Federal Service. Examples include: experience developing tracking & reporting systems to monitor crosscutting programs; analyzing & evaluating data and preparing and presenting program data to management; conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to analyze work methods; recommending solutions to administrative problems and issues; and communicating detailed procedural information for program support. OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR A combination of graduate level education beyond the first two years of progressively higher graduate study and appropriate specialized experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
To qualify at GS-12, you need to have the following: At least one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to GS-11 level in the Federal Service. In addition, to the specialized experience noted at the GS-11 level, experience at this level includes: providing senior-level administrative program support to guide cross-directorate activities; training staff at all levels; providing leadership & expertise in organizing & planning workshops, conferences, and seminars; and arranging for appropriate guest speakers and making presentations.
Education may be substituted for experience as described in "Qualifications" at the GS11 level. There is no education substitution at the GS-12 level.
Relocation Expenses will not be paid.
Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP):
ICTAP and CTAP provide eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
