Duties

Help
  • You will perform the operation of handling forklifts involving all types of driving in and outside of buildings, vehicles, etc.
  • You will operate electric, gasoline, or diesel-powered forklift trucks with lifting capabilities of less than 10,000 pounds.
  • You will operate large and complex shredding machines (e.g., multiple and independently controlled shredders) and/or specially designed shredding machines for different materials.
  • You will will track all metrics in SharePoint, such as weight.
  • You will be required to make appointments in outlook.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operators license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Frequently lifts, carries, and moves objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Position requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, working on ladders and walking.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work involves exposure to dirt, grease, oils, smoke, chlorine, gas, some solvents and other mild hazardous chemicals.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate the ability to perform common tasks including: operating, controlling and cleaning heavy power equipment (e.g. shredders); handling of controls for driving fork lift trucks and for lifting, lowering, and tilting forks weighing less than 10,000 lbs.; working independently, following instructions (verbal or written); and operating various hand and power tools or devices and to work safely with tools.
