Duties

Help

As a Supervisory Records and Information Management Specialist, you will:

- Advise senior OFAC managers and staff, keeping them informed on current and projected operational requirements, issues, legislative, and regulatory matters related to records management. 
- Analyze records and information management requirements to develop reporting systems, including system specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and system evaluation methodology.
- Design, develop, and coordinate approval of records management policy documents, procedural directives, and other guidance instruments for implementation throughout OFAC, and provide direction and assistance to OFAC business activities during their implementation.
- Ensure that RMS and OFAC business activities are knowledgeable about, and kept current on, records and information management principles and requirements, and that they receive training appropriate to their needs.
- Monitor budgetary, technologic, regulatory, Treasury Department and legislative developments with actual or potential impact on program operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience at the GS-14 level is one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:

-Interpreting, implementing, and providing technical guidance and responses on Records and Information Management policies, regulations, and procedures.; AND
- Leading projects to improve compliance with Records and Information Management requirements; AND
- Developing procedures to improve the administration of Records and Information Management program(s).; AND
- Researching and evaluating guidelines and regulations to make recommendations for changes to Records Management processes and procedures.; AND
- Providing input in developing procedures to improve the administration of Records and Information Management program(s); AND
- Supervising the activities of other Records and Information Management specialists.
