Duties

Help
  • Performs administrative and technical work to assist medical staff engaged in clinical research protocols.
  • Serves as an information resource for research study participants and staff.
  • Enters information into an electronic medical information system.
  • Schedules medical appointments.
  • Maintains research study participant medical records.
  • Utilizes software applications to enter and compile data and to create reports, correspondence, etc.
  • Arranges or provides transportation for research study participants.
  • Collects body measurements and urine samples from research study participants.
  • Maintains social media input and structures for recruiting volunteers through the internet and major search engines.

  • U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.
  • Employment is subject to the successful completion of the pre-appointment process (i.e., background investigation, verification of qualifications and job requirements, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, etc.)

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-06 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing administrative and technical support to medical staff; preparing and maintaining medical records; scheduling research participant visits; providing clinical information to new research participants and families including the consent process; and entering information into a computer application related to research participant registration, appointment scheduling, and/or electronic medical record system.
