Duties

Help
  • Performs routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical bowling equipment, components and assemblies.
  • Assists the Bowling Equipment Repairer in making repairs, adjusting equipment and related duties.
  • Adjusts equipment in accordance with guidance provided by and identifies potential malfunctions to the Bowling Equipment Repairer.
  • Cleans and maintains the bowling facility by replacing light bulbs; making minor repairs to vacuum cleaners, scrubbing, washing and polishing floors, walls and other surfaces; and by assisting in stocking, inventory, and related duties.

  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Moves large items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Works in awkward positions.
  • Work is indoors.
  • Work area is usually noisy.
  • May be required to wear protective clothing.

Qualifications

Candidates must:

1. Be able to lift and carry large items weighing up to 100 pounds.
2. Possess work experience or training in the use of electrical test equipment and wiring diagrams.
3. Be physically able to work for extended periods of time in cramped and awkward positions.
4. Skilled in the use of electrical test equipment and tools.
5. Working knowledge of manufacturer's diagrams, specifications and schematics.
