Duties

Help
  • Responsible for all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million dollar annual budget.
  • Lead and coordinates the combined efforts of the Army industrial team in expediting assigned program responsibilities.
  • Attend meetings, working groups and committees in connection with major policy and procedural matters.
  • Serve as Supervisory Project Lead for assigned Acquisition system and/or related acquisition program.
  • Support an understanding of the Command's Affirmative Action/EEO Program; ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management.
  • Identify training needs, find ways to improve processes and promote team building, recommends awards, and develops contributions objectives.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience is defined as: (1) Demonstrate experience in Acquisition Life Cycle Management. (2) Provide direction for the development, acquisition, testing, product improvement and sustainment of the project. (3) Experience managing system design, development, acquisition planning and programming. (4) Experience monitoring technology maturation and integration into a program. (5) Experience preparing and presenting information decision briefings; experience leading teams; implementing basic personnel functions and practices in order to drive results. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 or (GS-13) equivalent.

  • This is an Army Acquisition Workforce position covered by DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act).   • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Must be a member of an Acquisition Corps at the time of appointment or eligible for a waiver.
  • Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
