Analyze and provide advice in planning and writing of suitability policies and procedural requirements for processing Suitability, Fitness and Credentialing of employees.
Provide input to policy development related to determining the suitability and security eligibility of individuals. Analyze Information Systems; develops, interprets and analyzes data/information and reports.
Advise on suitability, fitness and credentialing matters and adverse /derogatory information and recommends appropriate action. Conduct fact-finding analysis to identify and clarify problems/issues.
Prepare written correspondence in response to queries; summaries of issues and/or reports.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must successfully complete OPM Suitability training: Fundamentals of Suitability for Suitability and Fitness ; and Suitability Action Procedures for Suitability Adjudicators, advanced course

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing policies, such as, but not limited to, Suitability, Fitness and/or a Credentialing Program; implementing procedures to ensure compliance with suitability adjudication policies; reviewing and resolving complex adjudication issues; interpreting laws and regulations pertaining to suitability adjudication. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
