This position is located with Birch Hill Ski and Snowboard Area.
Instructs groups and individuals in daily and weekly ski programs, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate to students who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.
Teaches children as well as adults.
Ensures proper safety procedures are followed at all times and that students learn in a safe environment. Is responsible for ticket handling for groups of students and must maintain good internal control practices to keep track of these tickets.
May be involved in designing, building and maintaining the snowboarding course, by building jumps and installing rails, using hand tools.
Ensures that proper safety procedures are followed at all times by customers and employees on the course.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications
Must be an advanced skier/snowboarder with the ability to teach others.
Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire.
Highly Preferred: Candidates that possess highly preferred criteria and meet the minimum qualifications above will be referred to the hiring manager first. Criteria is verified within the application package.
Knowledge in building and maintaining snowboarding course.
