Duties

Help
  • Studies and analyzes work operations and makes changes in workflow, methods, priorities, ect., to assure timely accomplishment of assigned workload
  • Makes assignments; furnishes technical advice and assistance; instructs subordinates in specific task as necessary; makes available written instructions and reference materials.
  • Advises customers relative to repair and calibration of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment.
  • Is responsible for the execution of administrative and personnel management responsibilities related to the accomplishment of the mission assigned.
  • Resolves informal complaints and grievances. Maintains management-employee communications by clearing up attitude problems; assists employees in improvement of performance and keeps them informed of policies, personnel and other management programs.

  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to o the work of an Precision Measurement Equipment Calibrator Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Analyzing the production schedule or work plans to accomplish assigned maintenance work orders/ projects. Assigning tasks while establishing deadlines and priorities on the basis of overall scheduled and unscheduled requirements, authorized resource expenditure levels, plans, and/or policies established by higher levels of management to ensure timelines are met. Analyzing work accomplishment, cost, and/or personnel utilization records to evaluate the progress of work or to control or reduce cost.

  • Physical Efforts: Work assignments require light to moderate physical effort. Frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise handles items weighing from 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally in excess of 40 pounds. Works in a sitting position for extended periods of time, and frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping is required.
  • Working Conditions: Works in well lighted, heated and ventilated areas. May be exposed to hazards of high voltage, high and low temperatures, chemicals and radiation. Must comply with applicable safety regulations.
