Duties

Help
  • As an Exercise Coordinator, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
  • Manages DSE facilities, including classrooms, conferences rooms, laboratories, while Interacting with the college staff on a daily basis to synchronize/coordinates activities and tasks with other organizations within and outside the college.
  • Monitors and manages internal and external taskings, making recommendations to the Director.
  • Performs a full range of resource and personnel management responsibilities, planning and scheduling training support on a long-range basis, allocating resources within the organization, determining program goals, and developing plans
  • Performs Contracting Officer Verification functions using the Civilian Verification Systems as the credit card billing official for the directorate.
  • Prepares a series of annual, multi-year, and similar types of long-range training plans in the areas of manpower, internal controls, property management/accountability, records management, reports, and personnel management
  • Maintains training records and coordinates with ArmyU Operations for training opportunities and classes.
  • Reviews, analyzes, drafts, and evaluates Directorate policies to assure the need for and the compatibility with School and College policy and guidance.
  • Manages all the directorate property to include maintaining and updating hand receipts and sub-hand receipts, submitting and tracking property book actions
  • Coordinates and execute turn-ins and issue of property, and executes inventories as directed by the Army University Logistical Officer.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: conducting, adapting, and making analytical techniques and evaluation criteria for validation of control projects, exercise development and requirements to ensure training needs are met; experience in briefing information regarding exercise development and training programs; experience in hand receipts, inventory, disposal of property; experience in requisition for supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Education
