Participates in the development and implementation of HHS programs and policies for the protection of human research subjects.
Conducts and completes analyses and other studies on varied topics related to human subject protection, using various software database applications.
Collects, analyzes, interprets and evaluates data (including responses and reactions of the Research community and the public), policy statements and regulations.
Coordinates development or evaluation of policy issues of a wide and diverse nature. Reviews pending and proposed strategies, actions, legislation and related items on policy issues. Recommends and advises the supervisor on actions and alternative solutions to policy problems.

Minimum Qualification Requirement:
Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service that includes analyzing and interpreting data regarding research; advising on policies and procedures that serve as guidance to internal personnel; and participating in work groups, teams or committees.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
