Duties

The selectee will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Project Resident Office (PRO). The selectee will be involved in evaluating, developing and monitoring logistics operations for surface assets and logistics acquisition. The selectee will develop and manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products and services.

Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:

  • Evaluating contractor data submittals, reviewing and analyzing logistics data, drawings, engineering change proposals, contractor progress and contributing to design and progress reviews.
  • Providing logistic expertise in the areas of design development, production and delivery requirements, initial and follow-on operations requirements; and to support fleet introduction and material readiness in a technically and cost effective manner as they pertain to logistics matters.
  • Developing and revising project documentation and contributing in the development of formal logistic presentations including logistic readiness reviews and reports to higher-level program groups.
  • Providing technical oversight for initiatives active within the shipyard and associated reporting requirement to the department.
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress and effectiveness of logistics management programs and tasks.

  • DHS Level II Acquisition Cert is required within 18 months of assignment.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A one (1) year probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires a Secret clearance.
  • This position requires a Mobility Agreement.
