Major Duties:
Implementing and managing data warehousing projects
Developing recommendations for application of information technology and plans to satisfy installation requirements
Applying data management and data standardization principles to software engineering projects
Evaluating contractor procedures for tasks related to the implementation of software applications.

Specialized experience is: tracking and monitoring the data warehouse and reporting application on a continual basis; formulating long and short-range projects in the modification of systems, software, hardware, and networks; performing life cycle management; conducting hands-on testing of products; experience with software engineering methodologies, computer operating and application software, data communications, and computer hardware; evaluate state-of-the art products, performing studies, and developing future plans for application, installation, and development within software engineering standards.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-13 level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
