Summary

Camden is a city in and the county seat of Ouachita County in the south-central part of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The city is located about 100 miles south of Little Rock. Situated on the bluffs overlooking the Ouachita River, Camden is a city rich in history, most of which is tied to the river. When Ouachita County was formed in 1842, American settlers changed the name to Camden.

Duties

Help
  • Reviews contracts and technical data packages to identify the specification requirements which the contractor's processes must meet.
  • Reviews and ensures equipment, material, people, environment, methods, and other inputs to new/changed production/manufacturing processes and associated process controls to assure that contractual technical requirements are met.
  • Reviews/analyzes contractor/ vendor QA data and adjusts receiving process/product audits accordingly.
  • Designs, plans and implements an effective risk management program to ensure that all threats to the successful delivery of the contract are addressed and mitigated in the Government's best interests.
  • Selects and describes tailored risk handling methods for surveillance of processes at the process level (e.g. process proofing, product audits, and data collection and analysis).
  • Reviews supplier's first article test reports and provides written recommendations for approval/disapproval to contracting officers.
  • Prepares, maintains and retains plans, records, data, reports, correspondence, and other documentation as required by contracts
  • Performs pre-award surveys in conjunction with other functional specialists.
  • Accepts products/technical services, and authorizes delivery, on behalf of the Government predicated on confidence in their conformance to contract technical and quality requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized Experience required: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-09. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience planning and implementing mechanical quality assurance manufacturing/production processes to effectively implement quality risk management programs. Experience performing statistical and quality data analysis to determine supplier compliance with contractual requirements. Experience with fact finding or investigative techniques of unsatisfactory trends to correct deficiencies and employ continuous improvement techniques.

Education can be substituted for experience.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • This position is designated as an Acquisition position and is subject to the provisions of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act and associated DoD and DCMA policies and guidelines. Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level ll in Career Category Production, Quality and Manufacturing within 24 months of entrance on duty.
  • Recruitment/Relocation/Retention Incentive will not be authorized.
  • Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) will not be authorized.
  • Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized.
