Duties

Help
  • Evaluates and analyzes the distribution of Army personnel, materiel and equipment by all transportation modes through the Defense Transportation System.
  • Responsible for all aspects and the development and execution of transportation and unit movement plans, policies and procedures related to movement of units for deployment, redeployment and to various exercise locations
  • Analyzes command transportation transport policies, doctrine, concepts, and determines impact upon the Command
  • Represents US Army Alaska (USARAK) G4, Force Projection and Distribution Movement Division at appropriate meetings, working groups, conferences, and symposiums concerning future concepts.
  • Oversees and coordinates deployment platforms for Fort Wainwright Army units in support of Air, Rail and Surface Operations at Fort Wainwright and Eielson, AFB.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience is defined as: evaluating mobilization and deployment plans and policies to ensure plans and policies provide complete instructions and other pertinent data relative to mobilization and deployment of materials and/or personnel. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
