Duties

Help
  • Serve as Program Manager for Army Reserve Logistics with supervisory and management responsibilities.
  • Implement new/emerging technologies, methods, or applications in fields of logistics and business management.
  • Gain compliance with established policies, regulations and contracts by persuasion or negotiation, or through direction of efforts of contractors.
  • Serve as Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for assigned or negotiated contracts supporting United States Army Reserve logistics programs.
  • Manage contracting operations and contract cells within the Readiness Division Headquarters and the Logistics Studies Branch.
  • Manage and direct the work of the Army Reserve Logistics Management Concepts Group.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-13), that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes: Integrating new/emerging technologies, methods, or applicants in fields of logistics and business management; analyzing, evaluating, directing and coordinating the implementation of new logistic technologies, methods, or applications; supervising the activities of multifunctional teams, such as: Equipment Specialists, Inventory Management Specialists, Supply Management Specialists, and Readiness Analysts; developing plans or programs for supply, maintenance, and/or transportation management operations; overseeing procurement and distribution of equipment; and administering life-cycle management of allocated major equipment.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
