The incumbent of this position is an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) assigned to the Cybersecurity Operations (formerly Information Technology (IT) Security) Division, Office of Critical Infrastructure and IT Security (OCIITS), Chief Information Officer (CIO) Directorate, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP).
Summary
The incumbent of this position is an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) assigned to the Cybersecurity Operations (formerly Information Technology (IT) Security) Division, Office of Critical Infrastructure and IT Security (OCIITS), Chief Information Officer (CIO) Directorate, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP).
As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will: -Provide leadership and expert advice with regard to systems security during development, implementation, operation, retirement, and disposal of IT systems and equipment -Conduct risk assessments, security evaluations, and reviews of information systems and technologies throughout the system life cycle. Evaluate proposed new systems and technologies, system modifications and upgrades, and systems under development and in use to identify and assess the potential impact of systems threats and vulnerabilities. -Serve as a Bureau specialist on BEP’s vulnerability, compliance and asset inventory scanning tool sets. Lead efforts to develop scrips and code development work with APIs to define the required reports and outputs. -Work with BEP’s Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) technology stack to analyze activities, identify problem and track mitigations.
The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS: A background investigation will be required for all new hires. Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Developing policy, standards, and processes that provide for the efficient and secure operation of agency information technology (IT) systems.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.

-This position is being filled through the BAI:GW-008 Direct Hire Authority (DHA).
