Summarize data and identify specific areas that appear to present the greatest threat to surface water resources within the watersheds.
Assist in the collection of information on implementation efforts and events designed to improve water quality.
Engage in environmental management studies.
Conduct field investigations and participate actively with other government agencies in collecting and interpreting basic natural resource data.
Review compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements to include the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Safe Drinking Water Act (SOWA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations, Executive Orders, and pertinent case law.
Attend public and special interest group meetings.

Minimum Qualification Requirement - To qualify for the GG-09 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GG-07 level in the Federal service or equivalent pay systems. Specialized experience is that which involved performing watershed assessment activities, engaging in environmental management studies, participating in critical reviews of environmental documents developed and submitted by other agencies or private interests, attending public and special interest group meetings and making formal presentations.
OR
2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
1 year equivalent to at least GG-7
OR
A combination of graduate education experience described above. To compute, first determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal to at least 100 percent to qualify for the grade level.
To qualify for the GG-11 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GG-09 level in the Federal service or equivalent pay systems.
