The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. 

- Initiate, design, compile and retrieve data used in statistical analysis and report information requested by senior level management.

- Work with DRGR users and help desk staff to resolve system user problems.

- Develop and deliver training and technical assistance on DRGR and related grant management systems/data, as needed.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of systems and recommend improvements or enhancements to management.

- Design and conduct data reports; make recommendations for development of reports and other data, as applicable.

This position is located in the Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD), Office of Block Grant Assistance, Disaster Recovery & Special Issues Division. CPD seeks to develop viable communities by promoting integrated approaches that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities for low and moderate-income persons.  The primary means toward this end is the development of partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector, including for-profit and non-profit organizations.  The Office of Block Grant Assistance is responsible for administering the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the Section 108 loan guarantee program, the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and special Congressional appropriations to assist communities in recovering from the effects of disasters.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 

- Working with the Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting (DRGR) or related grant management systems to evaluate the Community Development Block Grant, Disaster Recovery, or Neighborhood Stabilization programs using data analysis to analyze information.; AND
- Providing technical assistance on DRGR or related grant management systems; AND
- Generate reports, analyze data and provide recommendations to improve data reports for management.

For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

- Working with the Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting (DRGR) or related grant management system to evaluate the Community Development Block Grant, Disaster Recovery, or Neighborhood Stabilization programs using data analysis to analyze information.; AND
- Providing technical assistance on DRGR or related grant management systems; AND

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency
