About the Position: The position is located in the US Army, TACOM LCMC, Integrated Logistics Support Center. The ILSC provides innovative, robust, streamlined, full service logistics support to the U.S. Army's most important weapon system, the Soldier. The Center manages and oversees a comprehensive, integrated program for major and secondary Department of Defense items and insures supportability and operational readiness of Soldier, chemical and biological systems and items.

Duties

Help
  • You will serve as a Supply Systems Analyst working for the Organic Industrial Base Directorate in the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) and you will be responsible for:
  • Develop and coordinate the establishment of new or revised procedures, methods, and practices of a complex nature within and between the various operating organizations after thorough analyses of effect on the various operating segments.
  • Analyze business processes to ensure the varied and intricate changes are implemented correctly and proper interpretation of technical guidance.
  • Utilize an advanced comprehension of the organizational supply functions that entail diversified business process to identify and initiate research of problem areas.
  • Review and coordinate comments and concurrence on draft directives from higher authority within the complex organizational structure.
  • Review data through reports from databases and provide clear and concise report on findings in accordance with regulations and policies.
  • Maintain effective communication with all levels of management to include team members, leadership, and stakeholders.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as LMP to research or modify system data; analyzing or evaluate ERP systems such as LMP to develop improvement procedures and recommendations; and utilize computer applications and operations to design cost effective system changes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
