Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist at the GG-14 grade level performing technical, administrative and management tasks that involves supervision of other subordinate managers or supervisors or direction of units, functions, or projects that may be staffed by civilian or military personnel. This position is located in Suitland, MD of NIMITZ OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER.

Duties

Help
  • You will manage all aspects of tactical undersea warfare analysis.
  • You will lead, direct, and manage operational intelligence and analysis of the tactics, techniques, procedures, and proficiency of the undersea warfare forces.
  • You will develop the division's goals, program objectives, process innovation, and identify issues impacting the division's mission.
  • You will allocate resources to meet mission objectives.
  • You will guide and manage research, analysis, and production so it consistently meets organization standards and customer requirements.

  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • May be required to work overtime, including nights and weekends, and shift work as real-world events or Navy activities (to include operations and exercises) require.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-13 level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
1) Overseeing warfare intelligence analysis and production related to foreign naval, undersea, and antisubmarine warfare tactics and operations;
2) Engaging with senior-level peers internal/external to the Intelligence Community, US and foreign allied government to discuss real-world developments that will impact the intelligence mission; and,
3) Advising division heads and customers on providing warfare analysis to meet customer demand for tactical, operational and/or strategic-level analysis.
