Duties

Help

Ensure that health communication activities are based on theory and use accepted principles, methods, and practices.
Develop and manage contracts, task orders, requests for proposals, review of proposals, and conduct and quality of work performed; follow an approval system for clearing and cross-clearing communication and marketing projects.
Present health communication briefings or presentations to various groups (i.e., federal, state, and local constituents).
Coordinate and develop long-and short-range planning documents for health communication and marketing activities and campaigns.
Provide guidance and expertise for developing, testing, and disseminating science and audience-based products, tools, and messages.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level of difficulty and responsibility in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph.

Specialized experience is experience at or equivalent to which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating health communication and marketing plans, programs/campaigns targeted to health professionals, the public, and other audiences to increase awareness and prevention of infectious diseases and promote vaccination.
