Duties

Help
  • You will collect, assemble, prepare and disseminate information including internal communications, media relations and community relations.
  • You will write speeches and media prep documents for the President, Naval War College, incorporating overarching themes and messages.
  • You will assist with internal and external web site and social media content development, updates and creation
  • You will respond and prepare replies to media request for general information.
  • You will coordinate aspects of visits to Naval War College by media representatives.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and employing written, oral and visual communication methods in producing written and multimedia materials for news releases, feature articles, pamphlets, etc; 2) Analyzing programs to identify the characteristics of target audiences to determine the most effective communication techniques to use in reaching this audience; 3) Utilizing written, oral and visual communication techniques and methods in providing advisory services to upper management and other various audiences; 4) Utilizing basic photography techniques to produce images for a variety of projects.
