Summary

This is part of the CYS Youth Workforce Preparation Program (WPP).

These positions will consist of a 12 week work/training cycle starting on 1 April to 31 June at a max of 10 working/training hours per week.

Duties

Help
  • Under close supervision, performs a variety of simple, routine duties in a recreation or recreational sports program.
  • Prepares sports and other recreational areas for games or events.
  • Duties may include setting up equipment such as soccer nets, game boards, or accessories such as bats, balls, or racquets; marking fields with flags or chalk lines.
  • May assist with participant check in/registration.
  • May serve as a scorekeeper, game monitor, clock operator, or helper to coaches or recreation leaders. Performs other closely-related duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15j.
  • Parental/Guardian Consent Statement (if under 18 years of age)
  • Written Consent of School Administrator
  • Valid Work Permit Approved by Alaska Department of Labor

Qualifications

No experience required.

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is the local commuting area. Fort Wainwright and communities within 25 miles of the installation. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
