Duties

Help
  • You will be responsible for the development of local policy and procedures for use at all command sites.
  • You will ensure compliance with statutory regulations, Department of Defense (DoD) policy, and Department of Navy (DON) guidance in regards to record management.
  • You will appraise, analyze, arrange, and augment, inactive and archival records in relation to their function, background, content and use.
  • You will coordinate the creation, dissemination, research, storage, and disposition of both classified and unclassified information.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NO-02) or grade level (GS-5/10) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Ensuring all records are preserved and maintained for the appropriate amount of time, properly disposed, and properly transferred; 2) Recommending changes to management policies and practices regarding records management; 3) Reviewing plans for potential implementation within the organization to ensure compliance with current records management requirements; 4) Advising and coordinating the implementation and management of electronic records to ensure proper transition of records.

Education

Substitution of Education for Experience: P.H.D or equivalent doctoral degree and or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree and or LL.M degree, if related to the position being filled; OR, a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience is sufficient for meeting the minimum qualification requirements for this position.
