The position is located at the Albuquerque IHS Dental Clinic (AIDC) on the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) located in Albuquerque, NM. The purpose of the position is to provide a sanitary environment for the clinical, administrative and public areas of the main clinic building, as well as one annex structure.

  • Vacuums, dusts, sweeps, wet mops floors, corridors, patient care areas, utility rooms, cleans linen rooms, offices, employee's lounge, bathrooms, ventilations louvers and washes walls, windows and glass partitions, and other areas daily.
  • Scrubs and cleans commodes, urinals, washstands, fixtures, mirror, soap and paper towel dispensers with scouring power/cream and disinfectant with a germicidal solution; replenishes soap and paper items such as tissue, toilet paper and towels.
  • Cleans blood and/or body fluids using proper infection control techniques; provides terminal cleaning of all clinical areas/operatories, using the correct cleaning solution and procedure.
  • Collects soiled linen in carts and carries to laundry disposal area. Delivers clean linen to areas as requisitioned; empties waste baskets, trash containers and carries trash to compactor. Cleans waste baskets and trash containers as needed.

This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children. Upon tentative selection, selectee will be requested to complete, sign, and submit the Addendum to OF-306, Child Care & Indian Child Care Worker Position form. Due to this requirement, the agency must ensure that persons hired for these positions have not been found guilty of or pleaded nolo contendere or guilty to certain crimes.

Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957. Seasonal Influenza immunization is required for civilian health care facility staff working in Indian Health Service health care facilities.

On-call hours or standby duty may be required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
