Duties

Help
  • Assembles data from office sources and prepares periodic reports pertaining to functions
  • Maintain employee?s license record/files.
  • Maintain information and production data manually or through input into automated system.
  • Maintain records of GSA vehicles damage and accident reports
  • Review outgoing correspondence for correct format and errors and makes necessary corrections
  • Responsible for correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and terminology used in the office
  • Enter and update employee license information and expiration dates.
  • Maintain license log for monthly report
  • Receive and answer questions of license pertaining to process and procedures.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirement for Office Automation Clerk:
General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, filing, timekeeping, and logging in visitors.

OR

Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.


Specialized Experience for Office Automation Clerk:
One year of specialized experience which includes; Maintains office employee records, time attendance, personnel actions, receives and distributes mail and establishes and maintains office files and typing correspondence, appraisals, travel request, etc.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
