Duties

Help
  • In a developmental capacity, receives training and close supervision in the performance of duties and responsibilities as set forth in the position guide for the CYS Administrative Support Assistant, NF-0303-03. PD#22669.
  • Gradually assumes more responsibility and learns to perform the full scope of the duties required of the position.
  • Completes a prescribed agenda of formal/informal classroom and on-the-job training and self-development as set forth in the individual Training Development Plan.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15 m., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
  • Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
  • Successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required.
  • Travel to on and off post locations is required.

Qualifications

1. Experience working in an office setting which demonstrates skill in applying administrative and clerical procedures; customer service concepts; and communication techniques in a professional environment.
2. Experience using office automation to prepare documents, manage files, and maintain records.
3. Must have experience in using applications such as Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).

A Regular full-time position (RFT) is guaranteed 40 hours per week, has entitlements to health, life, retirement benefits, as well as annual and sick leave.
