Duties

Help
  • Serves as Program Integrator for Project Office functions to include systems engineering, test and evaluation, logistics, and program management.
  • Exercises knowledge of regulations issued by DA, DOD, OSD, and the joint services with regard to requirements related to appropriate measurement and evaluation techniques; planning, programming, and budgeting regulations, guidelines and processes.
  • Conducts mid-range and long-range planning meetings to assess and establish the long-term goals of Project Office relative to the development, acquisition, testing, product improvements, fielding and sustainment of the project.
  • Provides for periodic project management reviews with appropriate representatives from staff agencies and industry to determine program status, major milestone accomplishment, and coordination of each subsystem.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • This position requires the incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires Senior Level III Certification in Acquisition career field Program Management within twenty-four months of entrance into the position.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). An Acquisition Corps membership is required prior to entering into this position, unless a waiver has been granted by the appropriate authority.
  • This Critical Acquisition Position requires a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
  • This position may require incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 30% of the time.
  • NOTE: Telework will be situational only.

To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience overseeing integration of multiple functional areas; experience managing resources across projects/programs; and experience integrating and implementing strategic direction for vital programs with long-term impact. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS- 13).
