Summary

The Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO), Headquarters Human Resources Office (HQ HRO) seeks an experienced leader to serve as Deputy Director. HQ HRO manages and administers human resources activities for NASA HQ. Through the use of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and specialists working in the areas of workforce planning, learning and development, organizational development, and labor and employee relations, HQ HRO provides a full complement of human capital services.

  • Provides policy interpretations on interrelated program issues that cross Human Resources specialty areas; are sensitive, highly complex, visible, and have broad reaching affects throughout NASA.
  • Acts on behalf of the Director, HQ HRO during periods of absence.

Qualifications

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-14), which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

To Qualify for the GS-15:

Specialized Experience is defined as leading a complex, multi-organizational human capital program; developing and implementing human capital policies or procedures; and
partnering with senior leaders to identify and resolve human capital matters.
