As a IT Program Manager (IT Director) you will:

-Direct the development of long-term and short-term OIG IT plans, which integrate OIG audit, investigative, oversight, and administrative program goals and mission requirements with available and future information technologies and resources. These plans include IT forecasts in terms of hardware, software, and human resources requirements; identifying proposals for major IT projects and systems enhancements; and management initiatives relating to OIG programs which can be accomplished/assisted by the application of IT. These long and short term plans are mandated by Federal legislation, OMB Circulars, Treasury Directives, and the Inspector General (IG).

-Perform assignments related to the development, analysis, implementation, modification, and tracking of OIG automated information systems, policies and programs, and guidance that addresses both Federal and Department of the Treasury requirements.

-Manage the wide area network and telecommunication programs of the OIG. This includes directing the technical and analytical planning, acquisition, testing, integration, installation, utilization, and modification of the entire network environment (hubs, switches, routers, data circuits, facilities, services, and procedures) for the OIG, which includes multiple remote locations. This also includes directing the preparation of the financial and operating plans for the IG'S use of the Department’s Treasury Network (TNET).

-Manage the procurement, installation, maintenance, and operation of all IT hardware and software within/for the OIG nationwide. Directs the development, analysis, and implementation of information systems resident on the OIG servers and networked PCs in support of the OIG mission.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.


Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
- Supervision or management of staff and/or contractors within an organization; AND
- Experience developing enterprise-wide strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external service providers. AND
- Directs, manages, and coordinates IT and IT security related evaluations to include the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) activities.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: If selected for this position, you will be required to:
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
