Duties

Help

  • Provides leadership, allocates resources, and implements activities to accomplish OEHRM multicultural organization direction, and Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights requirements, goals, policies, and objectives.
  • Manages and oversees the technology and integration operations and is the principal advisor for strategic planning and oversight for multiple TIO Directorates. Delivers highly technical analyses of information security policies, strategies, architecture, engineering, metrics, risk management, workforce development, change management and business intelligence.
  • Develops and maintains strategic organizational plans, identifying current and future business environments and aligning the organization to those environments. Manages, reviews, and delivers analysis on Technology and Integration functions, tasks, operations, and business processes to identify, remediate, and mitigate gaps in service and efficiency.
  • Initiates and manages special technical studies and projects of a highly confidential and complex nature related to executing the OEHRM mission.
  • Conducts program and project research and performance analysis, delivers guidance for process improvement, and manages the implementation of that guidance.
  • Ensures OEHRM programs, projects, policies, and operations align with applicable cybersecurity regulations and guidance. Monitors changes in Federal legislation and regulations, as well as agency-level guidance, policy, regulations, and directives for potential impact on OEHRM policies.
Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and to attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Some employees may carry light items, such as papers, books, or small parts. The work does not require any special physical effort.

GS-15 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: (1) Experience advising other IT experts throughout the Agency or in other agencies on a variety of situations and issues that involve applying or adapting new technology, concepts, principles, standards, methods, or practices, that are developed by the employee or results from the employee's leadership. (2) consulting top agency management officials in order to advise on integrating IT programs with other programs of equivalent scope and complexity. (3) applying program evaluation and value-based measurement techniques in providing statistical analysis to drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness. (4) applying of value management, organization development principles and conceptual models that specifically apply to action planning addressing operational change, strategic management, program effectiveness, and management.(5) experience in communicating with Department of Defense personnel at the Program and project level, and communicating successfully with senior executives

There is no educational substitution for the GS-15 level.
