This position is being filled under an Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA).

This position is part of the Department of Defense, Missile Defense Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for: Leading and managing all aspects of cost, schedule, and performance of the Missile Defense System's Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Training Systems development, testing, and fielding to operations.

As a Program Manager at the NH-0340-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Working with leadership to establish improved operating concepts and criteria and stimulate the development and integration of improved policies, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Research, coordinate, plan and brief actions in support of the organization objectives, goals and vision.
  • Execute baseline remedial and preventive actions, and report findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Ensure acquisition programs are capabilities driven, employ spiral development processes, integrated, and deliver expected performance.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-04 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:

  • Be responsible for leading all aspects of the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications training to include development, testing, and fielding for 3 products Distributed Training System, Training Support System, and the DTS Simulation/Stimulation capability;
  • Preparing the Combatant Commanders (Warfighters) providing exceptional training products for the organization.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
