Serve as the senior expert and recognized NCI technical authority expert on biomedical imaging informatics theory and practice.
Develop, plan, and implement computing solutions to existing and future challenges to realize a secure, efficient, user-friendly, and cost-effective imaging informatics program.
Apply knowledge of rapidly evolving cancer research needs to foster development, implementation, evaluation and management of biomedical informatics projects.
Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on CBIIT Imaging Informatics contracts.
Apply knowledge of biomedical standards, protocols and processes (BRIDG, HL7, DICOM, etc.) to foster collaboration, development, and implementation of biomedical informatics projects, especially as they pertain to cancer imaging

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements:
Minimum Education Requirement:
You must possess a Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences, or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
In addition to meeting the Minimum Education Requirement, you must meet the following Qualification Requirement:
You must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: advising on the scientific or programmatic management of biomedical imaging informatics projects; participating in cross-organizational biomedical imaging informatics projects or initiatives; monitoring progress and performance quality on biomedical imaging informatics contracts; evaluating developments in imaging disciplines, such as radiology, cellular imaging, and digital pathology, for their impact on an organization's scientific mission; and developing reports, analyses, or presentations related to biomedical imaging informatics theory and practice.
