Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCEN IHEODTECHDIV.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11/12.

Duties

Help
  • You will oversee manufacture, repair and refurbishment of components necessary to accomplish all aspects of project execution to include cost, schedule and quality.
  • You will plan, coordinate, manage and direct work of a branch to meet program responsibilities.
  • You will apply technical specifications, design plans, engineering standards to provide solutions to weapon support equipment.
  • Provide supervision and mentor employees in the general area of electrical or mechanical operations.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Production, Quality and manufacturing Level I. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector; analyzing logistics efforts to improve efficiency of weapon systems maintenance, repair or refurbishment to meet mission requirements.

Education

Substitute of experience may be obtained through;

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
